Rackenford and All England Tennis Tournament

The Rackenford and All England Tournament (RAETT) was established in 1992, by the late Brian Peace, to help raise money for repairs to Rackenford Church.

In the earlier days, the tournament was much smaller and very much a local event. Access to a tennis racket and a small fee being the only requirements to compete (an ability to play tennis was, and still is, an optional extra!).

Over the last 34 years, the RAETT has grown from a small knock-out competition to one with now several sections, including Two Generations' Doubles and Singles, with a hundred or more entrants playing throughout the summer in the group stages, in order to earn a place in the Finals.

The highlight of the Tournament is Finals Day, which is held in Rackenford itself.

Each year, the tournament supports a charity; this year All Saints Church, Rackenford and Uplift, Devon has been chosen.

In the early years of the tournament, as well as recently, All Saints Church, Rackenford has been supported.
